Vibration Recording

This technique is based on recording the movement of the surface produced by anthropic sources, like blasting, traffic, urban noise, etc. The vibrations produced by these sources are characterized by their high amplitude and high frequency, and due to these, they cant be measured by conventional seismographers and need specific equipment to be measured.

This methodology consists in analyzing records of ground movement to check if the peak and frequency of seismic vibrations produced by blasting, traffic and others, comply with the range that has been stablished for the zone of study.

The records are created with a triaxial geophone that measures ground displacement and a microphone that measures sound pressure. Then the highest points of each channel can be compared to the norm.
